Call for Robot Competition Session

We invite participants to submit a one-page abstract (+references) of their relevant work. The goal of this robot competition session is to move away from the regular poster sessions. Instead, each participant will have a 5-minute slot to introduce their work to the entire audience of the workshop. During this period, they can introduce their methods with support slides and then show: 

• a live demonstration of their prototype,

• or a video demonstration of their prototype/simulation results.

• and/or a poster of their work.

We want to make the demo/video the focus of the presentation and then foment discussion on the methods during the closing session. We aim to run the session in-person as much as possible, however, we will consider submissions for virtual demonstration to be run in the same format. The accepted contributions will be posted on the workshop website but they will not appear in the official IEEE proceedings. The grading rubric for the competition will be shared with the participants for advance preparation.  The best demonstration will be awarded a prize with certificates.
